Hey there, I just got GW a week ago and have been playing it like there was no tomorrow.

Really cool game. Anyway, I was looking for some information on academy monks and stumbled upon this forum. What I hoped for was basically some information on what skills they use and such.

What I've gathered until now is that they use Orison of Healing and sword/shield, but I'm pretty sure they also use some smiting spells. The reason for my inquiry is basically that I'm trying to create a viable character based on them. For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, academy monks are the ones who are always protecting the resurrection stones. (Before the searing anyway)

EDIT: Oh, and suggestions are also more than welcome. Obviously it's going to be a Mo/W build with sword/shield. As for attributes I was thinking along the lines of Swordsmanship, Healing prayers and Smiting prayers.

Players are tad different then npcs.

With that being said, Monk/Warrior is a pretty viable class. You are able to sustain some damage, and still heal well.

Im a warrior though, not a monk so I can not give too much info on skills.

While players and NPCs are different, some of the skills are still the same. (Orison of Healing for example) Anyway, the NPCs just serve as a basic guideline. All suggestions are welcome.
